Caregivers

The Center for Caregiver Spirituality at Trinity Baptist Church seeks to empower caregivers to grow spiritually and build healthy relationships with God and loved ones.

Check out the Center’s blog.

There are many caregivers in our society, from those who care for special-needs children to those who provide support for aging parents.  Caregivers are good at caring for others, but who is available to care for the caregivers?

The CCS provides spiritual direction and resources to help caregivers:

  • Promote self-care and self-awareness.
  • Receive much-needed rest and Sabbath.
  • Vent feelings and frustrations without guilt or fear.
  • Engage in historic, faith-based spiritual exercises.
  • Discover where God is at work in the midst of caregiving.

One comment on “Caregivers

  1. Dr. LaGuardia had been of critical importance in my spiritual, emotional, and educational development while being a caregiver for my mother diagnosed with Dementia in 2000. His free workshops allowed an opportunity to speak with other caregivers and recognize that I was not alone. He is an outstanding professional for providing this support to the community.
