According to recent statistics, a majority of young adults ages 18 – 29 have never darkened the door of a church. Nor are they fond of organized religion. Yet, there is a deep need for community in this age group, a community that invites young adults to explore the questions and doubts they have about culture and faith.
Jackson Thomas, Youth Ministry Facilitator at Trinity Baptist Church, has made it his mission to provide a safe, welcoming, and alternative environment for young adults who may not be religious, but are deeply spiritual.
Starting Friday, May 11 at 7 PM, Jackson will lead a group of young adults who long to express their faith-related interests, from art to music, in creative and intentional ways. The goal: to connect young adults with one another and resources that may help them find solace and direction. The ministry: Connexion.
If you know a young adult age 15 – 25 who needs a place to question, doubt, express, rest, reflect, or simply hang out, let us know and we’ll send an invite.
You may also direct young adults to the Connexion website or the Connexion Facebook page!
